For local help in your area google AA Helpline or your local area AA intergroup office to speak to another alcoholic who will be volunteering to man the hotline.

Lucy E AA Solution Seekers

I met Lucy when one of my sponsees brought her to Solution Seekers as a guest. She experienced first hand how we try to be inclusive to all our members and guests. My sponsee and Lucy are both blind. They are active participants of our group and amaze us with their contributions and service. 
 
Contact AA General Service Board to get them working on providing copies of the AA Big Book in braille. They do have it but it is not currently in publication. It took me almost a year to find a local area intergroup that had a copy on a dusty shelf! It was worth the hunt.
It is just another example of how excuses can bar results IF you let them. Nothing has to stand in the way of your recovery, not even loss of sight.
Thanks for being examples to us all Lucy and Bel.

An odd name for a podcast on Recovery? When I was wondering what to call this podcast I reflected back on my drinking history and how I used alcohol and drugs as a Solution to my thinking, my problems, my very existence in general...I always reached for that shot glass of solution. But when the glasses were empty and the bottles ran dry the solution I’d used for decades had only made things worse. I’ve been on this recovery road for a little over 19 years now and what I’ve learned is my recovery is contingent on carrying the message to others. I hope you sit back and enjoy listening to the speaker series I’ve curated from my home group AA Solution Seekers. Perhaps when it tickles your fancy you will join me in the not so dark corners of my mind as I ramble on about all the wisdom the folks in recovery have shared with me, as they so lovingly carried the message. Thank you for listening and helping me stay sober one day at a time.

Reg was invited to speak at my home group and she really shared from the heart, even coming to tears near the end of her talk.  She closed our meeting with a prayer her home group had named after a deceased member, Gwen's prayer.

They stayed in the solution focusing on getting out of self and gave solid resources and guided all in attendance how to identify ego and stay out of self by inviting God in every single minute of every day.
