Lorien is just shy of two years sober. In her story, she opens up about her struggles with relapse, rehab, and working with multiple sponsors throughout her recovery journey. She reflects on the mistakes she made along the way, sharing the lessons she’s learned. One of her most important realizations is that the steps can guide all areas of life, and it’s crucial to be kind to yourself—recovery is unique to each person. She also acknowledges how God continually did for her what she couldn’t do for herself. Here, she tells her story.
