A woman 30 years sober

Today my sponsor Celebrates 30 years sobriety. Some people say "Don't drink and don't die and you too can stay sober this long." But there is more to it than that. It's called surrender to God, willingness, action, labour, perserverance, deflation of ego, humility...and a constant quest to be better today than you were tomorrow as you seek to do God's will in this world.

For that I salute her and others like her.

 

We don't have many old timers left these days.
